Axis miss understanding#569

Hi!

I start try do some bounce ball animation with the rive app. The axis artboard is X= lenght and Y= height, But the object I create the X axis and Y axis are the inverse. I think it is simple if the create object has the same aling with the axis of artboard.

sorry, it’s not diferente in the artboard, but on input properties. X and Y are not in the same reference at visual colors guizmos. RED to x and GREEN to Y. That visual feedback could be change with each other.

the red arrow and the green arrow in the guizmo reference object mean different axis. X and Y is swaped. Red is supose to be X and green supose to be Y.

Hello @AntDraws , sorry for not answering sooner. We are trying to reproduce the problem, but we cannot. Do you have the problem when you modify the position value in the inspector? Would you mind sending us the file to support@rive.app so we can see what is the problem.

There are a color standards for axis at industry. RED for X, GREEN for Y and BLUE to Z.

Normaly 2d animation softwares uses for transform position guizmos grey, same color, or a box.
.
Here in Rive, Y are seted for RED and X for GREEN. That make confusion for animators who used others animations softwares.
.
Sorry for my english speaking but I think this video can be helpfull.
