Honour bitmaps embedded inside imported SVG files
Would be great to import SVGs that contain both vector and raster objects. Can be useful to rasterise a section of a design to simplify animation. Also provides an alternative to PSD for some things.
Bug in Hierachy (multi-select and then move objects)
When you select multiple objects in your hierachy and move them up or down, the order is mixed up. After that, you cannot drag and drop these single objects in the hierachy freely anymore. They don't drop where you put them.
ability to edit cubic bezier number values
in order to keep consistency across our apps, would love ability to set specific cubic bezier curve values between keyframes.
Transparency view for artboard background
Hard to tell at times if the background is transparent or if there's a layer there. Would be cool to have an option of seing a gray/white grid, similar to what After Effects has to denote transparency.
Would love to be able to send artboards from Figma straight to Rive :)
Pin Options (e.g. Stroke or Clipping Options)
If you select any options, you could have the option to pin this window. This may be usefull for animations with many clipping or trim path elements.
Looking for ways to create editable type, or placeholder type that can be dynamically updated with data.
merge multiple imports from After Effects into animation states
Export multiple comps with same layer naming from After Effects and bring them in as animation states. My current workaround is merging them inside of AE into a single comp using the same shape layers, then duplicating and breaking them up in Rive.
add noise / randomness
looking for abillity to create ambient movement and would love ability to add some randomness or noise to the motion.
If you want to give two objects the same animation. Copy keyframes for another animation.
Right click menu?
Figma does this very well: right clicking on any object (on the design board or the object list) gives you a subset of actions that work for that object. It's a great way to get a focused list of things you'd like to do. Right now in Rive, it feel
Drag handles to resize objects?
I've finally figured out (don't laugh) that "scaling != resizing" The UI in Rive pretty much forces scaling on you when, at least in the early stages of making my objects to animation, all I really want to do is resize. I think it's as simple as a
Shared assets proposal (Libraries, Symbols, Presets)
Library - A Rive file that exposes its assets, symbols, and presets for use within other files. - Symbol - Reusable elements (e.g. Movieclips in Flash, Symbols in Sketch, Components in Figma) - Asset - External images and graphics. - *
Draw order supports groups?
I've got several similar grouped items and I'm trying to animate an order change. These objects are labeled A, B, and C with 3 objects in each. It's animating just fine, now I want to change the draw order... and I see 9+ objects. It's not too bad,
Cmd + G (Ctrl + G) to group selected objects
Like we do in Rive 1.
